After a long break, i kicked myself to do a post today. Though the recipe was in drafts for a month now, i couldn't find time to sit and write the post. That is what happens when you are in your mom's place, spoilt bad!! I literally kicked myself to move around today. We had a family function last week and it was one gala time with my brother and sister family all together. we had loads of fun, laughter.
After the function, it was back to routine life for everyone, all left and it is me and my kids with my mom & dad. It was a little dull for a day or two and now it is fine. Kuttu has a good set of friends here in the apartment, he plays for a good 2-3 hours in the evening, which is absent there in sharjah. The lil one goes to park in the evening, so he too gets his share of fun, kids happy so mummy happy!!
Coming to today's recipe, easy to make quick and healthy chiller. With goodness of fresh mangoes and yogurt, this makes one hearty and healthy drink. Pair it with your lunch or have it as a mid-day snack. it will surely satiate the need.
1/2 cup fresh mango pulp, chopped, I used 1 sindhri mango
1/2 cup fresh milk
1/2 cup fresh yogurt
a pod of cardamom
4 pistachios, crushed (optional)
1 tsp of sugar (optional. i didnt add)
some chopped pistachios for garnish (optional)
- Take mango pulp, milk and yogurt along with cardamom, crushed pistachios and sugar in a blender.
- Blend until smooth. Pour in tall glasses and serve chilled garnished with crushed pistachios
- Since all my ingredients were chilled, i didnt add ice cubes, if using room temperature ingredients, add few ice cubes for a chilled drink.
